12 weeks away


Dear Katelyn, 
I was reading this passage this week and it seemed to jump off the page as I was thinking about a bunch of things--- one of them being your wedding and upcoming marriage. There are a lot of unknowns ahead in saying "yes" to someone. There are a lot of details to be managed for celebrating your special day. But my prayer is that God would tap you on the shoulder when it feels like the winds are whipping around you and that you would hear His voice saying to you in all the big things and little things: "Take courage, it is I; don't be afraid."  Where do you need to hear these words this week?

7 Weeks Away!

When Anna and I went to a friend's wedding last fall, one of the family members shared this quote as a toast, and I loved it. I know you will be able to relate.  Everything I know About Love I know that love can be loud and jubilant…It can be dancing in the swampy mud and the pouring rain at a festival and shouting “YOU ARE AMAZING” over the band. It’s introducing them to your colleagues at a work event and basking in pride as they make people laugh and make you look lovable just by dint of being loved by them. It’s laughing until you wheeze. Dear Katelyn,  I was thinking about how I could come alongside you as you prepare for your wedding, and I thought I'd make a little wedding countdown blog sending you something each week to let you know I'm praying for you in this very exciting season.
